As your agency grows larger, so does your need to handle the increased complexity of your resources and overall budget.
Project planning with clients often requires you to plot your work months in advance. It also requires you to fully understand your available resources and ensure what you’re spending fits the budget.
That’s why Teamwork.com is thrilled to announce Scale, a new plan is specifically tailored to help agencies better manage resources and client profitability.
Meet the three new features in Scale
As we roll out Scale, we’re excited to announce the addition of its three new features. Each is specifically tailored to agencies to track and manage their most common resource and budgeting challenges.
Agencies on Scale will now have access to:
Unlimited Financial Budgets
Profitability Reports
Advanced Resource Scheduler
Let’s take a look at each new feature added to Scale and breakdown the best use cases for your agency:
Unlimited Financial Budgets
Financial Budgets allow you to accurately track the financial performance of a project from conception through completion.
In a nutshell, Financial Budgets let you assign a specific budget (in a dollar amount) at the beginning of your project. As users in Teamwork.com log billable or non-billable time, the tool shows a breakdown of the used and remaining time or money left in the budget.
This tracking allows you to view the progression of the total amount you’ve spent against the original budget total. Project managers can turn on notifications to receive updates when the budget allocation reaches certain monetary thresholds.
Additionally, project admins have access to the Budget History within Financial Budgets, which allows them to see the budget progression from previous projects and plan forward accordingly.
Profitability Report
Looking to better understand the profitability of your team or project?
The new Profitability Report is perfect for those wanting a real-time, at-a-glance view of the profitability of each project. Additionally, you can see profitability by individual users contributing to those projects.
Calculations are based on the cost and billable rates of users, and their logged billable or non-billable time.
This report is also completely customizable and you can easily sort through projects to quickly see which bring the most or least profit. If you want to see an at-a-glance view of a project over a specific time period, simply adjust the report to your own custom date range.
Whether you want to change billable hours or update the project in general, the Profitability Report allows you to take action much faster. The report also provides your leadership or management teams with detailed insights into project performance.
Advanced Resource Scheduler
It’s common for projects to vary in size and run different lengths of time, which makes it challenging for larger agencies to plan for their available resources.
The Advanced Resource Scheduler allows you to plot out projects in advance, whether it’s by month, quarter, or year. After the work is confirmed, your team can use the Resource Scheduler to allocate time on that project across days and weeks to available team members.
This preparation helps ensure that your team has long-term availability. Additionally, the Resource Scheduler gives you access to historical data to help plan more efficiently for future projects.
When each project is complete, you can look back and see how the time logged by each user for their work compares to the time estimated for that work.
